I woke up this morning to the sound of my dog vomiting on the comforter.

How’s your day going?

The comforter has been laundered and various ochre puddles about the pad have been tended to.

But she’s grumbling at me for a walk, so I must keep this brief.

Plus, it’s early release day for picking the kids up from school and I am volunteered to run the snack bar at my son’s baseball game.¹

Today’s addition to the “Mixed Up Files” is “Eye’s That Are Pretty Blue Ain’t Always Pretty Blue Eyes.”

The working title for this song for the past 17 years has been “12/2/06 inst.”

I returned to the folder “garageband silliness of 06 mainly” for this song, and felt it needed a zippier title.

“Eyes That Are Pretty Blue Ain't Always Pretty Blue Eyes” kinda sells itself, right?

I was just learning how to create loops and stuff when I recorded this, and of course it was recorded into the built-in mics on the laptop, so it is crunchy lo-fi.

I hope you are able to overcome the lo-fi nature and enjoy this little idea.

I should note that my wife turned 40 over the weekend and to celebrate, we got out of town for a piece, which was lovely. Woot Woot!
