Nice Faux People,
I’m going to keep this one brief, like a Haiku.
Actually, I’ll start with a Haiku, as suggested by my chef, Marty Fay.
Here goes:
Zero in one hand
infinity in t’other
micro macro mensch
Feels good to write a poem for poetry’s sake, I highly recommend it.
In other news . . .
Today’s song addition to the “Mixed Up Files” is a super-simple a’cappella improvisational demo that I sang into my iPhone on April 19, 2015.
Listen here:
I took out some gnarly squelching sounds and added some reverb in Adobe Audition t’other1 day, but this is the idea as it popped into my head, essentially.2
This strikes me as a recent piece, though it is already 8 years old.
My sense of time has been bent.
Today at the trampoline park, my son asked me why I do a newsletter.
I said it is helping me to keep the flow of art out-going while I slowly create new art.
I think he got it.
I hope you get it.
I remain your humble servant,
OX&C,
Faux Jean
Here are the lyrics:
There's nothing wrong
I'm not mad
I'm not sad
I was just looking out the window
And there's a storm coming in.
I’ve used “t’other” four times in this epistle if you count this footnote. Underused construct in my opinion.
It sounded like I was chewing gum while recording this.
