Waiting On the 17

Oh Hi,

Another Tuesday, another new recording added to the Mixed Up Files album series, which we sometimes abbreviate to FTMUFOMMTS.

Let’s goooo!

“Waiting On the 17” was track 6 on my old band’s 1999 album “AQUARIUS.” That band was called The Spring Collection. Here is the poster I made to herald the release of said album:

I was off the graveyard shift by the time I made this poster, but I assure you, much time was spent at Kinko’s bringing this poster to life.

I spent a lot of time watching people wait for the bus from Cafe Wyrd, now Cafe Barbette in Minneapolis. Here is a photo of a on 35mm photo that my friend Mel sent to me recently.

Tell me this venue doesn’t look like some kind of sea creature that is coming to swallow up the audience. I was in the free listening area where the sound was pristine.
