It's Fun and Easy!

Orlon vs Fake Denim Dance Off

Faux Tail Feather Shakers!

Today’s new song addition to the “Mixed Up Files” album series can be listened to in the player below; it’s a song about dancing that can lead to romancing called “It’s Fun and Easy! (Watusi etude)”

I hope you like it!

I created the sound file back on May 6, 2009 as a rough mix to listen to in the car, as you do with a work in progress.

It’s crispy!

Here is the song from the 60s by the Orlons that started the whole craze and inspired me to write this song.:

The Orlons were named after the product Orlon, a synthetic fabric that was the name of a sweater worn by lead singer Stephen Caldwell. The idea to use a fabric for the band's name came from another vocal group in Philadelphia, the Cashmeres, who also used a fabric name for their band name.

Two artists with names based on synthetic fabric (Orlon and Faux Jean) with songs about a dance called the Watusi— could the singularity be far off?

I remain your humble servant,

OX&C,

Faux Jean
